A Brief History of Mouldlife

Mouldlife began as a partnership, established as a distributor of Polytek Silicones & Polyurethanes.
The company changed location to a larger premises, matching its sizeable ambitions. This coincided with the expansion into rapid prototyping, mould making and special FX sectors.
We became the UK tooling distributor for Huntsman Advanced Materials.
Mouldlife US was established. Due to the success that Mouldlife showed in developing Polytek materials in Europe, we were challenged to simulate our European successes in California with the distribution agreement of Polytek.
Further to the distribution partnership with Huntsman for their Advanced Materials in 2006, Mouldlife then took on their range of advanced composite materials.
Having previously distributed Huntsman’s Epoxy Tooling Boards and backed away from the market due to inactivity, it was decided with our new involvement in the composite world we needed to return to the tooling board market. Trelleborg were delighted to work with Mouldlife.
Mouldlife made the move to the current location. With warehouse, blending facilities, sales and administration offices, Miro House (Bury St. Edmunds) caters well for the company’s fast-paced trading.
The company started to seriously explore silicone and structural adhesives, and become UK distributor for sealing and bonding at Bluestar Silicones, offering a choice of silicone adhesive systems. The same year we became UK distributor for Scott Bader, offering their comprehensive range of resins, gel coats and adhesive systems, including the Crestabond Structural Adhesives range.
With increasing technological advancements in 3D printing, Mouldlife became partner of the world’s fastest, easiest-to-use and most affordable range of colour 3D printers, the CubeX and Cube. Our partnership with 3D Systems additionally allowed the company to offer an in-house 3D printing bureau service, using the ProJet 660, and powder printing technology.
Already acquiring the UK partnerships of Scott Bader and Bluestar in 2012, Mouldlife took further hold of the sealing and bonding market with the official distribution partnership to 3M for their universal range of industrial tapes and adhesives.
