Trelleborg

Mouldlife ltd and Trelleborg have been business partners for a number of year. Working together to meet the growing demand for Epoxy Tooling Boards.
Trelleborg manufacture a high quality range of Epoxy Tooling Boards for use in the high spec composites industries. Trelleborg have developed a business partner ship with Mouldlife as main distributer to pattern makers supplying the tooling for the Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Marine and Sport equipment manufacturing sectors.
Mouldlife are able to supply the complete range of boards, including adhesive and repair materials.
Mouldlife's range of Epoxy Boards are pre-cast Epoxy boards with a medium to high density, available in a variety of sizes. These boards offer the highest levels of performance for wide range of applications, including very high temperature work suitable for carbon 'pre-preg' moulding. They can also be easily worked, drilled and sanded, and respond well to a range of adhesives, so can be used to make production parts, jigs and fixtures as well as prototypes patterns and tools. Mouldlife Ltd's Epoxy Boards are widely used in the F1, automotive, aerospace and genreal composite industries where high performance tooling is required.
Tooling Blocks
Tooling blocks are essentially a combination of epoxy resins, glass microballoons and hardeners, which are mixed together and cured in an oven until hard. They are cast into standard size ‘boards,’ which are joined to form a block larger than the component to be made.
For larger components, a key factor is the actual weight of the tooling blocks. Trelleborg supplies an option weighing 400kg/m³, effectively half the weight of standard market variants.
